What’s the story of European almonds?
European almonds tell a different story. Grown for centuries across the Mediterranean, they thrive in dry, sun-soaked landscapes, often relying only on rainfall, not irrigation.
While most of the world’s almonds come from intensive systems in Californa, almond production in Europe is rooted in tradition: smaller harvests, richer flavours, and farming methods that work with nature, not against it.
This is a story of resilience, biodiversity, and a different way of growing food.
